How to Repair LCD LED Backlight

Hi, all Technician today I am going to tell you How to Repair LCD LED Backlight problem step by step. I have more than 3 years of experience in an LCD LED repairing field. So I share my LED backlight repairing technique to you in this article. If you find a led backlight repairing technique, this article will help you fix your backlight issue.

What is LED Backlight

Basically, LCD LED Backlight is a light that is helpful to see the panel graphic on our TV. For LCD TV have CCFL backlight and in lED TV have LED backlight.

If any LCD LED TV getting backlight failure, we can not see the picture on the TV display. I will be totally blank. But at the same time your TV still in running position and also gets sound from the TV.

I will tell you the repairing process of the LCD LED backlight below. So If you see No display and sound OK problem in your TV, That’s means the backlight is getting damage. Foe repair Backlight follows the below steps.

LCD LED Backlight Repairing process

• LCD Backlight Repairing: For LCD TV backlight It is a very simple and easy process to fix the problem. Follow below steps-

1. 1. First Step: Open your LCD CCFL backlight from your TV and check that CCFL Tube using LCD backlight tester.
   2. Second Step: If you get it damage that replace that CCFL Tube with a new one. But if you get it ok then follow 3rd step.
   3. Third Step: Now check your CCFL backlight inverter card with the help of a circuit repairing technique. If you do nor know circuit repairing stay tuned I will write an article about circuit repairing technique.
   4. Fourth Step: This is the last and golden process to fix the LCD Backlight issue. Just disconnect the main backlight inverter card and install an external CCFL Inverter card. Your LCD TV backlight problem will be fixed.

• LED Backlight Repairing: This LED backlight repairing process also very simple. You have to just follow the below steps to fix your backlight problem.

 

1. 1. First Step: Open your LED backlight LED strips from your LED TV.
   2. Second Step: Now you have to test every single LED which is placed on the backlight Strip. If you get any damage LED replace that LED with the same value LED. Watch my YouTube video to know about LED backlight LED voltages and Amp.
   3. Third Step: If you can not have a single LED then you have to replace the entire LED strip.
   4. Fourth Step: If your all backlight LED is OK then you have to check LED backlight driver.
   5. Fifth Step: For LED backlight driver repairing you have to check the driver circuit by circuit repairing technique.
   6. Sixth Step: If you are not able to repair a backlight driver, you can install the New LED backlight driver. Watch my video tutorial on Youtube How to install backlight Driver.
